Explore the Differences Between the 2022 Honda Civic Sedan and the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback
What are the Main Differences?
There aren’t a whole lot of differences between the Honda Civic Sedan vs Hatchback except for when it comes to cargo space. The 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback has 24.5 cu ft of cargo volume compared to 14.8 cu ft in the 2022 Honda Civic Sedan. And when it comes to length, the sedan’s 183.3 in long, 4.3 inches longer than the hatchback.
Specs & Performance
The difference between Civic Hatchback and Sedan when it comes to specifications is minimal. The 2022 Civic Hatchback has 4 trims: LX, Sport, EX-L, and Touring. The 2022 Civic Sedan has LX, Sport, EX, and Touring trims as well. As for choice of colors, there are 8 different exterior color options which vary slightly between the Hatchback and Sedan.
Both the Civic Sedan and Civic Hatchback have 2.0-liter In-Line 4-Cylinder engines. The 2 higher end trim levels come with a turbocharged 1.5-liter In-Line 4-Cylinder engine with an Intercooled Turbocharging feature that helps streamline acceleration and provide enhanced fuel efficiency.
Dimensions & Cargo Space
There’s nothing really to write home about when it comes to dimensions and cargo space, perhaps more of a design aesthetic if anything. While the Civic Hatchback offers nearly double the cargo space, there’s something nostalgic about the hatchback look, cargo capacity aside.
