Honda has shown itself as a brand that knows how to update its models without taking away the things that made people love them in the first place. This is certainly the case with the Honda CR-V. This compact SUV is due for a mid-generation refresh with the 2026 model year, introducing some cool innovations and a new off-road-ready trim while maintaining the things that appeal to drivers in places like Marysville. This is why many of your friends and neighbors might be looking for a Honda CR-V for sale near Marysville.

The CR-V is an ideal model for places like Marysville. Its choice of fuel-efficient powertrains makes it perfect for folks who need to commute to work or school, while the standard safety features will give family drivers the peace of mind they need when heading out for an adventure with the kids. The place to go for you to find the 2026 CR-V is Klein Honda, as we are an authorized Honda dealer featuring the full lineup of cars, trucks, and SUVs from this reliable brand.

Hit the Off-Road in a CR-V TrailSport

The biggest news for the 2026 model of the CR-V is the introduction of a new trim, the TrailSport. This is the name Honda has given to the off-road edition of some of its most popular models, like the Passport midsize SUV, the three-row Pilot SUV, and the Ridgeline midsize pickup truck. For Marysville drivers, a 2026 Honda CR-V TrailSport will give you the features you need to explore some particularly interesting areas.

The 2026 CR-V TrailSport will come with all-wheel drive, as well as a custom off-road suspension system. This will allow it to better handle the bumps and ruts you encounter on unpaved surfaces. Honda calls its system Real-Time AWD with Intelligent Control System, as it provides the right amount of torque for the driving conditions you are in. The TrailSport will ride on a set of General Grabber all-terrain tires, which have deeper treads than all-season tires, providing you with improved grip and traction—things you will need on and off the road.

Honda has not yet announced an MSRP for the TrailSport or any of the trims on the 2026 Honda CR-V. In addition, it is unclear where the TrailSport will fit into the current six trim levels on the model and whether it will be available with a hybrid powertrain only or if Honda will also offer the TrailSport with a conventional gas engine.

You will have no problem telling a TrailSport apart from other trims on the 2026 Honda CR-V. For one thing, it will feature a more aggressive grille with new front and rear bumpers to give you improved approach and departure angles. This is sure to come in handy when you are looking to traverse rocks and logs that may be in the way of your vehicle.

It also has underbody protection courtesy of a set of steel skid plates. This will shield vital parts of your CR-V's undercarriage, like the oil pan, transmission, fuel tank, exhaust system, and differentials. Finally, in keeping with the TrailSport tradition seen on other models with this trim, the 2026 CR-V TrailSport will have plenty of orange accents inside and out of the vehicle, as well as the special orange TrailSport badging.

Two Powertrains to Choose From

The 2026 Honda CR-V is part of the sixth generation of this compact SUV, which was introduced for the 2023 model year. For the sixth generation, Honda began offering the CR-V with a choice of two exceptional powertrains, which are expected to be carried over to the 2026 model year.

The base engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged I-4 gas engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). This CVT helps to make gear transitions smoother than a conventional automatic transmission as you accelerate. The turbocharged engine has a dual overhead cam configuration (DOHC) with 16 valves for its four cylinders. Using direct fuel injection, it can produce up to 190 hp at 6,000 RPM and 179 lb-ft of torque at 1,700-5,000 RPM.

This gas powertrain is offered with a choice of front- and all-wheel drive, although if the TrailSport trim is offered with this engine, that trim will be all-wheel drive only. The 2025 CR-V with this engine can get up to 30 MPG combined in front-wheel drive.[a] Marysville drivers who want better traction, especially in inclement weather, might prefer to get the CR-V with all-wheel drive.

The other choice is a 2.0-liter I-4 hybrid powertrain that pairs a lithium-ion battery and a high-torque traction motor with a gas engine. At lower speeds, the gas engine charges the battery through a generator, with the electric motor providing most of the CR-V Hybrid's propulsion. The gas engine also has a DOHC configuration with 16 valves for its four cylinders. However, it uses multi-stage, high-pressure direct fuel injection.

The combined output of the gas engine and the electric motor is an impressive 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel-drive versions of the 2025 CR-V Hybrid get up to 40 MPG combined, including an incredible 43 MPG in the city.[a] This is why these are great for drivers to get around town efficiently.

More Space, More Touchscreen

One thing that has always made Honda stand out is the brand's space maximization. You wouldn't be the only person who thought a Honda model is bigger on the inside than the outside. This is because the design team at Honda has always been able to make the most of an interior space, even on compact models like the CR-V.

As a result, you get plenty of trunk space, with the 2025 model giving you an impressive 39.3 cu.ft. of space that can be increased to 76.5 cu.ft. by simply folding down the rear row. The 2026 CR-V is expected to have a similar amount of space. This is why folks who love shopping at the outlet stores near Marysville choose a CR-V: There is plenty of room for all the great bargains you and your friends and family can find there, so you have no worries about getting them home after a fun-filled day of shopping.

You and your passengers are sure to enjoy the roominess of the 2026 CR-V. This is because Honda does a wonderful job of apportioning space between the first and second rows on this model. For example, the 2025 CR-V gives front-row passengers 41.3 inches of legroom and those in the back 41 inches. This is almost the same amount of space, so no one will feel slighted if someone else gets to ride co-pilot. This is so much room that everyone can stretch out, especially if you decide to take a road trip to Vancouver or Portland.

The 2025 CR-V offers two sizes of touchscreens for the infotainment system: a 7-inch display on lower trims and a 9-inch display on higher ones. These are expected to be larger in the 2026 model. In addition, only the EX-L, Sport-L Hybrid, and Sport Touring Hybrid have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as the larger touchscreens. Many industry insiders believe that the wireless connectivity will be extended to all trims on the 2026 Honda CR-V. If so, this will allow Marysville drivers to link their phones to the infotainment system, even if they left their charging cables at home. As a result, you will be able to make hands-free calls and texts wherever you go while streaming your favorite music.

As for safety, Honda will be sure to include at least as many Honda Sensing driver assistance technologies on the 2026 CR-V as there are on the current model. The 2025 Honda CR-V received a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, while the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named it a Top Safety Pick.[b][c] The hope is that the 2026 Honda CR-V will continue the brand's convention of prioritizing safety.
