The Honda CR-V is a compact SUV that packs a punch in terms of value and performance. With its configurable rear seats, efficient engines, available AWD, and various trims, it’s a good choice for a variety of drivers, from commuters and road trippers to young professionals and students alike. One of our friendly sales experts would be happy to introduce you to this year’s selection of CR-V options. To give you a sneak peek, today we’ll cover each trim for the 2025 year. The 2025 CR-V is available in three traditional gas engine trims and three hybrid trims. We’ll start with the traditional gas engine trims before moving on to the hybrids. Let’s dive in.

LX

The LX is the starting traditional gas engine trim. It has a solid starting lineup of features that are great for Shoreline drivers looking for an affordable and well-built SUV. The LX has Honda Sensing, standard. Honda Sensing is a suite of driver assist features, including a Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Traffic Sign Recognition System. Between these features, you’ll have plenty of assistance staying alert to potential accidents and even receive help with automatic braking and steering in some instances.

The LX has a 1.5L turbocharged I-4 engine under the hood. As with all 2025 CR-Vs, Real Time AWD is available as an add-on for the LX. Real Time AWD monitors the road and automatically sends torque to the wheels that need it most when it senses a loss of traction. The LX also has three drive modes: Normal, ECON, and Snow. Normal provides a balance of a comfortable ride and good fuel economy for daily driving, ECON prioritizes fuel efficiency, and Snow helps you take on winter roads around King County.

Inside the LX, you’ll sit on cloth seats and listen to your tunes on a four-speaker system. With smartphone compatibility for Apple and Android devices, the LX lets you connect your device to the seven-inch color touchscreen and control your apps from there. It also has front USB ports, allowing you and a front-seat passenger to charge your devices and sync them up to the touchscreen.

EX

The EX builds on the LX with some luxury and convenience features that make it a terrific option for those who appreciate some comfort on their drives. Heated front seats will give you and your co-pilot full-body warmth—always a bonus on chilly Shoreline days—while the power-adjustable driver’s seat makes it easy to get into the ideal position for long commutes.

A one-touch power moonroof lets in fresh air and natural light at the push of a button. Plus, a bump up to a six-speaker sound system should make music and podcast lovers happy. Meanwhile, both front and rear passengers get USB ports in this trim. On the safety end, this trim builds on Honda Sensing by adding a Blind Spot Information System.

EX-L

The EX-L is the top trim with the traditional gas engine. It enjoys a sophisticated leather-trimmed interior, including leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. If you look towards the center of the front dash area, you’ll notice a larger screen; that’s because this trim gets a bump from the seven-inch touchscreen of the previous trims to a nine-inch touchscreen.

You’ll also move up to an eight-speaker sound system in this trim, creating an immersive listening experience for all passengers. As for smartphone compatibility, you’ll enjoy wireless connectivity in this trim, as well as a wireless phone charger. So feel free to leave the USB cords at home if you like.

The EX-L has a power driver’s seat like the EX, but it builds on that with a memory function. You can find the perfect position for your seat, and the EX-L will remember it each time you turn on the ignition. Moving towards the back of this trim, you’ll find a power tailgate, removing some of the hassle of loading your trunk. It has all of the driver assist features of the EX, plus parking sensors to help you navigate tight parking spots with ease.

Sport Hybrid

Now, we get to the hybrid options. Each 2025 CR-V Hybrid will have a 2.0L I-4 powertrain producing 204 hp. The Sport Hybrid might be the “starting” hybrid trim, but it does not bring you back down to the same features as the LX. Instead, its interior features mirror those of the EX. That means a six-speaker sound system, front and rear USB ports, a one-touch power moonroof, heated front seats, and a power driver’s seat.

What makes the Sport Hybrid different from the EX (other than the hybrid powertrain) are some style details and performance perks. The Sport Hybrid has roof rails, ready to accommodate exterior storage solutions. It rolls on 18-inch gloss black wheels (the EX has silver wheels) and has dual exhaust finishers that should turn heads as Shoreline drivers cruise up and down Aurora Avenue. Inside, you’ll find orange stitching. On the performance front, this trim bumps you from the three-mode drive system of the traditional gas engine trims to a four-mode system, adding Sport mode.

Sport-L Hybrid

Moving onto the Sport-L Hybrid, you’ll enjoy comfort and convenience features that mirror those of the EX-L. You’ll get a leather-trimmed interior, a power tailgate, wireless smartphone compatibility and charging, an eight-speaker sound system, and a nine-inch touchscreen. You’ll also get a power driver’s seat with memory and parking sensors.

What does the Sport-L have that the EX-L doesn’t? It actually differs from the EX-L in most of the same ways that the Sport Hybrid does from the EX. The Sport-L Hybrid has orange stitching on the inside and roof rails on the outside. Plus, it has those cool dual exhaust finishers and 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels.

Sport Touring Hybrid

Finally, we arrive at the Sport Touring Hybrid. It has everything the Sport-L Hybrid has, and then some. In fact, the Sport Touring Hybrid has some features that are exclusive to it, like a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system, which you won’t find elsewhere in the CR-V lineup. Then there’s the hands-free power tailgate, which opens on its own when you kick your foot beneath the rear bumper.

That Real Time AWD system that’s available on the other trims comes standard on this one. Plus, you’ll enjoy a heated steering wheel, as well as Honda Satellite-Linked navigation, so you’ll always find your way, even when you don’t have cell service or your phone dies. The Sport Touring Hybrid combines true luxury perks with the fuel efficiency of a hybrid powertrain.
